Psalm 91....

There is ONE thing that I did yesterday and it made a huge difference in my life and I hope to become disciplined enough to continue this daily.

Please do yourself a favor and read out loud everyday Psalm 91 and PUT yourself in that psalm.  Instead of the word you, you say me or I.  I promise you there will be an anointing and the Lord will hear your words as you pray back to HIM, HIS WORDS....

I have had two friends of mine do this yesterday and they were so blessed.

God Bless you this day and forever in Jesus name....

This is awesome....

I am BORROWING this from a dear pastor friend of ours.
This is SO true.  WE need a balanced life....
For me however, I need less play and more work!!!

One Good Thing and Then Another

“…and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1.4 NRSV

Everyone, especially grown-ups, needs to play. We need time away from work, even when we love our work. Play is part of the process which repairs us and replenishes our spirit. The more complicated our life and our work, the more we need the release of simple play. We need to ski, fish, garden, play softball or chess, any hobby that takes us mentally and physically away from our work.

The writer of Ecclesiastes was on target when he wrote: “… a time to laugh… and a time to dance.”

The best life is lived in balance. Not the precarious balance of life on a teeter-totter, but the balance of stacking one good thing upon another and upon another. In that process, we build a lifestyle that keeps us healthy, energized and productive. The building blocks are work, rest and recreation. And remember, rest and recreation are not optional. Thank God!

Prayer: Lord, help me keep my life in balance.

Studio Ten in Naperville

I cut and paste what I thought was a video for my dear friend Rosalyn Morris.  She owns and operates the most awesome salon in Naperville.  She works only with products that have NO harsh chemicals.  John Amico products.  I have used them now for the past two years and my hair looks and feels awesome.  I was strictly an Aveda fan, till I was introduced to John Amico.  There is NO comparison, except ONE thing I miss from Aveda is their scents, but the chemicals were all there in Aveda compared to John's products.  Anyway, Ros is unbelievable at cutting and styling your hair.  She knows exactly what you need for your age and your life style.  She will sit with you and go through a consultation every time you have an appointment with her.
She is located in Downtown Naperville at the Jefferson hill mall.  It's not a mall, but a set of little offices and businesses.  Her phone number is 630-854-7452.  Please don't forget to tell her that you read about her on my blog and that I referred you.  My name is Deni short for Denise.  So do call her and go soon to get a new look.  Her prices are quite reasonable and if you have a business you might be able to barter with her.  She is the queen of bartering.
She is a full salon, so you can also come and get a pedicure and manicure.  She really knows color too.  I love my hair.  She blended in my gray, which I like with incredible highlights and lowlights.  My husband just can't get over how awesome I look because of Rosalyn.  Her daughter is every bit as gifted in hair, considering Ros has trained her for years.  You won't go wrong with her salon.
Do give her a call, and don't forget to mention that you heard about her reading my blog.
God does miracles and sometimes you just need to find someone that can help you with a new look to make you feel better about yourself.
God loves you and is still in the Miracle making business!!!

Idiot Abroad..

My family and I love watching this show called "Idiot Abroad,"  It's absolutely brilliant and very funny.  In fact my husband thinks it is one of the best shows in a long time on television.  No, it's not been taped this year.  It was in 2011 and a british show.  Karl is terribly funny. To watch what he is put through really does make you feel bad for him, but at the same time you find yourself just hoping he takes on the challenges on this so called bucket list.  It's a show based on what you would want to do before you die.  For me what I'd like to do before I die is write a brilliant book.  Something that would really help people all over the world.  Right now the only book that does that is the bible.  However there are so many self help books out there that do help you.  I prefer Christian books only.  If you had something that you would like to accomplish before you pass on, what would it be?
I also would LOVE to take a cruise.  So far that is just a pipe dream, seeing that I don't have a full time job and nothing that looks hopeful at the present.  Oh well, I will keep on praying and hoping for the best...
Write to me and let me know what is on your Bucket list!!!
